Our Ghost
We live in a house that was built in 1900. It’s an exquisite Queen Anne Victorian with high ceilings and ornate carved detailing. I have always loved the idea of living in a very old house, but secretly deep down inside I’ve always worried… what if it is haunted? ( Maybe Brent’s made me watch one too many “Ghost Hunters” episodes.)

Change of plans
Turns out our anniversary weekend napa cottage was double booked, and since we were the second reservation, we got nixed. I was pretty bummed about it but we just changed courses. I still took time off from work today anyway and Brent woke me up with a cup of his amazing coffee and Van Morrison playing on the record player.

Karma
Last Saturday night we took a cab ride home from downtown. When we pulled up to the apartment I handed the driver a $20. Our cab fare was $10 but he didn’t have any change. You know what, I said…. keep it. I believe in Karma and when you do nice things for others, it is always returned. He thanked us a million times and went on his way.
