This blog has been a lot of things. A love story. A new adventure. The journey of a women becoming comfortable with who she is and what she believes in.

I don't write here as often as I used to, but the stories I've left on these pages have made me who I am. I come back occasionally to put down thoughts and stories.

One of my favorite spots in San Francisco is Musee Mechanique at the Fisherman’s Wharf. It’s one of the last “Old San Francisco” amusements. Imagine a warehouse full of old carnival games, fortune tellers similar to the one from the movie BIG, silent films played by cranking a metal handle and looking through a view finder, dancing marionette puppets and old timey sheet pictures.
It’s an awesome place to spend a pocket full of quarters and a must-stop whenever we have guests visiting. Click here to watch a video of my mom and Brent having a carnival music dance off on a past visit.
All of the photos above were taken at Musee Mechanique over the course of the last 2 years. Some were taken when we were just smitten tourists, others after we had moved here. (The pictures with Natasha were from the trip that convinced them they should move here).  I like how Brent’s grandfather’s fedora made a guest appearance on multiple occasions.
