This blog has been a lot of things. A love story. A new adventure. The journey of a women becoming comfortable with who she is and what she believes in.

I don't write here as often as I used to, but the stories I've left on these pages have made me who I am. I come back occasionally to put down thoughts and stories.

Guest Blogger Week - A love story
This may not be the love story you imagined, but it is a love story none the less.  The group known as “M.L.B.” (Melissa, Lindsey, and Buffy) met at the greatest place on the earth.  Three people from opposite ends of the spectrum came together to complete each other.  Creating a friendship that will last a lifetime, and eventually lead them to live in a beautiful house on the Beaufort waterfront together when they are 80 years old.
Melissa is the kind of girl who is absolutely ridiculous about a lot of things.  She will take you two miles out your way to arrive at destination across the street, but is always thoroughly prepared for any situation [Power points being her favorite method of preparation ;) ].  Her train of thought is extremely sequenced, in a completely out of order kind of way, making sense only to her and the rest of the Major League.  Melissa loves to travel around the world, Africa being her favorite.  Her heart is as big as the ocean and her eyes just as blue.  She is always oh so photogenic, and the glow she carries never ceases to amaze all those around her.
Lindsey is probably the wildest of the three, but still holds her morals in high regard.  There are so many ‘little’ things about Lindsey that make her so beautiful and strong.  The way she explains things with such great analogies always gets me.  A favorite example for how badly her stomach hurts would go as follows, “You know how a tie-dyed shirt looks? Well that’s how my stomach feels.  It feels like it’s all tie-dyed inside.” And she never fails to delight in the beauty that surrounds her as well.  Dancing in the rain and running through fields of flowers = pure enjoyment of life by Lindsey.
And then there’s Buffy (no, not the Vampire Slayer)… who thrives off the mushy things in life.  Quote books, old children’s movies (Little Rascals, Sandlot, Little Giants, and The Goonies), anything hopelessly romantic, and dreams.  Music is one passion that will never die for her.  And finding the passion in others gets her off.  The smallest little things in life tend to amuse Buffy and laughter is her medicine.  She can be really corny at times, but that is simple genetics passed down on the father’s side.  Simple philosophies she lives by: everything is possible, spontaneous road trips are the best, never over-plan, never settle for anything less than what you deserve, and guaranteed there is a song out there for any emotion you are feeling.
Always there for each other through the good and the bad times.  M.L. and B. love each other with a perfect harmony that can never be taken away.  These three never would have met without attending the bubble that is Camp Albemarle; where every day is an opportunity for greatness, the stars are always shining, the water surrounds you, sailing away is always an option, and God is always felt.
