Will people ever learn?
UPDATE: Most of the plagiarized content was pulled within 30 minutes of posting of this blog.
Probably not. But I’ll keep saying it. Just like I talked about in this post about plagiarizing others, each of us has a unique story to tell… and while finding inspiration in others should be encouraged, blatantly plagiarizing content from my blog, or any other, is just sad.
Anything I’ve ever put on this little blog of mine is handed over freely to anyone who cares to read it - I love sharing my life, my love, and my joy for life… but please, if it inspires you in any small way and you wish to pass it on, give me credit for it.
The writer of this Blog ripped ALOT of my writing (changing just a few words to fit her life) here and here and here and here (getting tired yet? I could basically post her entire blog as a rip off of mine) Even the name of her blog is identical to a piece I wrote last fall . I am considering contacting Blogspot and reporting the plagiarism because so much of what is posted is not her content but is being presented as such.
With a little research, it turns out that this is the same girl I had to block on Myspace because she stole so much of my writing and posted it as her own on that website too.
Lisa, I don’t know you… So I am trying to go about this the best way I can. I would email you directly but you don’t have an email address posted on your blog. Please take down the stuff you plagiarized from me. Please stop doing this… you’ve been stealing my words for YEARS now and I’ve done my best to ignore it. I promise you there is enough inspiration in your own life that you don’t need to copy word for word from mine. In your own blog you say “I like all things genuine. I prefer the ugly truth over a beautiful lie” If that is the truth, then please do the right thing and delete all of the content you stole from me.
Melissa
