This blog has been a lot of things. A love story. A new adventure. The journey of a women becoming comfortable with who she is and what she believes in.

I don't write here as often as I used to, but the stories I've left on these pages have made me who I am. I come back occasionally to put down thoughts and stories.

Brent used to hate it every time I pulled the camera out. His dislike was the product of years and years of subjection to posed family pictures and having to hold a smile for 30 seconds or more while the camera went click click..wait, one more..turn this way…keep smiling. (Didn’t we all go through that?)
Over the past year, he’s changed his tune as I’ve clicked away at our daily life. I don’t make him pose for anything, in fact, I do my best to catch him when he’s most himself. Lately he’s really began to embrace my efforts as he realizes all of these captured moments will be cherished images in the years to come.
And so often now, we find ourselves with 2 feet of space between us - clicking the camera at each other in attempt to capture the way light reflects off the blanket and into our faces, the way the breeze swirls in our hair, and the joy. We’re always (always) trying to take hold of the joy that weaves itself through our days.
