This blog has been a lot of things. A love story. A new adventure. The journey of a women becoming comfortable with who she is and what she believes in.

I don't write here as often as I used to, but the stories I've left on these pages have made me who I am. I come back occasionally to put down thoughts and stories.

Dining room day dreams

We live in the weirdest shaped little apartment ever - and between our tee tiny first apartment and our awkward new place, I haven’t had a dining area in over a year. I used to lament over the loss alot as I was smitten with my little dining nook at our old house in Raleigh. What I wouldn’t give to have that AMAZING little dining set here in San Francisco! (alas, it’s waiting in a family member’s attic for us to return for it one day)

In the meantime, we’ve gotten really good at utilizing our vintage rose tv trays even when guests come over.

Last night, in a fit of rearranging energy, I convinced B to turn our sitting/record listening area into an eating space. I have something really eclectic in mind with 2 mismatchy chairs on one side and a little victorian style settee we are buying from friends as seating on the other. As far as the lighting goes - Brent suggested restringing ou homemade birdcage light with brighter bulbs and hanging it chandelier style over the table. I LOVE his idea and can’t wait to see it come to fruition.

Stay tuned for pictures - I’m making this my weekend project!

Love,

M
