A love letter.
It’s the middle of September. A few months lie between who we were and what we will be. No longer just a pair, as we’ve identified ourselves to be for so long. Soon, we will witness the creation of what happens when love expands ever outwards until it actually creates something entirely new. A new person. A new definition of purpose.
In the time we have left as just us two, let us remember to soak in the quietness of our bodies, side by side on our old couch, sharing a sandwich from the deli on a tuesday afternoon, and staying in bed just a little longer than we usually would on Saturday morning.
And when that time finishes, we will open our arms and find whole chapters of our hearts that we never knew existed. We will savor fingers and toes that are separate and yet, belong to us both. We will write new stories and find new reasons and revel in the beauty of creating a universe from two beating hearts and the belief that life is ours for the taking.
Love,
Melissa
