This blog has been a lot of things. A love story. A new adventure. The journey of a women becoming comfortable with who she is and what she believes in.

I don't write here as often as I used to, but the stories I've left on these pages have made me who I am. I come back occasionally to put down thoughts and stories.

It’s taken us 3 seasons, but we’ve finally jumped on the Mad Men bandwagon. There’s a reason why this show has a cult following, and the Golden Gate flat has finally seen the light! Just like every other woman who watches, I’ve become transfixed by the styling and fashion. It’s made me incredibly excited to have a waistline again (one day, hopefully… it is coming back, isn’t it?) so that I can put on some of my favorite 1950’s pieces that have hung untouched in my closet all these months.
In the meantime, I’ve been wearing my lacey nightgowns to sleep, a la Betty Draper..  A few nights ago, I laid in bed wearing my favorite long red nightgown, waiting for the handsome one to finish brushing his teeth. I swished my feet against the cool sheets handed down to me by my grandmother (I’ve yet fo find a pair that rival them in softness or style), admired the lace hem at my knee and instantly felt a little more elegant.
