This blog has been a lot of things. A love story. A new adventure. The journey of a women becoming comfortable with who she is and what she believes in.

I don't write here as often as I used to, but the stories I've left on these pages have made me who I am. I come back occasionally to put down thoughts and stories.

Date night.
We had this little place in Raleigh that was “our” restaurant. We went there, just the two of us, to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, good news, and sometimes just because we wanted to hold hands under the table and fill up on the best hummus you’ve ever had in your life. It wasn’t fancy, but it was our favorite restaurant. (Look up “Irregardless Cafe” if you’re ever in the area)
We quickly established the San Francisco version of “our” restaurant after we discovered it by accident in the midst of a late afternoon scooter ride our first month here. It’s a little asian fusion restaurant on Hayes St. called Abacus, and it’s been our celebratory spot from the beginning. Every thing on the menu is divine, and tonight the handsome one and I are heading there for a  post-anniversary feast.
There’s nothing like toasting “Here’s to us” with forkfulls of walnut prawns and honey glazed tangerine chicken!
