I have an almost exact replica of this dress, except the hem is at least 2 inches shorter. It was my mama’s and she wore it for New Year’s Eve sometime in the early ’90s. She was such a hot little firecracker and I keep holding on to it and waiting for the courage to wear it myself. She’s three inches shorter than me - so what was the perfect mini dress length on her is down right risque on my body. I’ve had it for over 5 years and talked myself out of it every time for one reason or another. Maybe opaque tights and a black bolero would make it doable - next year perhaps when I won’t be sporting a baby bump.

Here’s one thing I’ve learned - when the dress fits, wear it. Even if it is a little short. Don’t wait, otherwise it might be awhile - if ever.
