The weekend in review: Saturday night was the 2nd annual Soup Swap hosted by our dear friend Christine. Last year I made my favorite homemade chicken noodle soup… but this year the competition was really tough so I stepped it up with my favorite Chicken Tortilla soup (recipe to follow). There were 11 different entries (some faves: wonton, beer cheese, butternut squash & cider, and black bean) and 3 rounds of voting on the winner. It also turned into a mini SF-tumblr gal meet with Megahn, Celine, and Kate all bringing their entries to the competition.  Our friends Ruth and Ajit took home the grande prize for their black bean soup - I’ll have to get her to post the recipe!
