This blog has been a lot of things. A love story. A new adventure. The journey of a women becoming comfortable with who she is and what she believes in.

I don't write here as often as I used to, but the stories I've left on these pages have made me who I am. I come back occasionally to put down thoughts and stories.

I wanted to give you an update on our attempt to make the solar powered Sun Jars I posted about a few weeks ago. Brent and I tweaked the tutorial just a bit and it made it a lot easier.  I bought the ikea jars mentioned and frosted them with glass spray, but instead of glueing the solar panel and light piece into the top of the jar, Brent left them in the plastic holder and just cut them down to fit inside the jar. This requires no gluing or unscrewing and they hold really securely in place.
We’ve used them the last three nights and we love them. They remind me of jars full of fireflies from childhood.

The tutorial is super easy, and instead of spending $45 a piece for these at Urban Outfitters, we spent $35 to make 4 of them. I’ve had a few of you email me to say you’ve had success making them too. Check out Startariot ‘s blog for picture of the ones she made.
